If the home your looking at purchasing or live in was built before 1978, there is a high probability that it may contain lead paint in the home.
Before 1978, contractors and companies used to use paint that contained lead because it gave off a glossy look and was desired by many. Unfortunately, it wasn’t until far later that it was discovered that being exposed to lead was a health risk, especially to children.
Lead paint can be found on interior walls, exterior walls, window panes, children’s wooden toys and more. Some indications that your home may be housing lead paint are peeling or “eggshell” looking paint.
